Self-esteem is Considered to be a very common problem which faces many people. Low self-esteem may cause you some embarrassing situations. To overcome this problem, you may like to follow these steps;
1: Stop Criticizing Yourself
Try to stop your own inner critic.It is really a good place to start with raising your self-esteem. You don’t have to accept the negative thoughts which attack you. There are ways to minimize that critical voice inside you. Try to create a word or a phrase to stop yourself like ” Stop” or ” No, I will not give up” and try to turn your attention to any other positive or even funny thing.
2: Motivate Yourself
A good way to motivate yourself is to write down your benefits you deeply believe that they are in you. When you finish your list, put it in a place where you can see it daily.
3: Set Realistic Expectations
Nothing can kill your self-esteem more than setting unrealistic expectations. Sometimes our expectations are so much smaller but still unrealistic. For example, “I wish my mom would stop criticizing me.”, as she will never stop. Thus, you have to enhance your self-esteem to face this disappointing.
4: Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
It is too dangerous for you to compare yourself to others, as it sure will be unfair. These comparisons are unfair because you don’t know as much as you think you do about these other people’s lives, or what it’s really like to be them.
5: Handle mistakes and failures in a more positive way
Try to be a friend of yourself. This will help you to change your point of view about yourself.
6: Be kind to other people
When you are kinder towards others you tend to treat yourself in a kinder way, too.
